FURIOUS!!!! SUCH TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! On November 12, 2021 I booked 4 flights to fly from Calgary to Cancun on April 22, 2022. 3 of those flights were booked through Exepdia for TD Travel and one of the flights was booked directly through WestJet. I paid extra to ensure we were on direct flights there and back. The return flight that I booked directly through West Jet remains the same. The return flights that I booked through Expedia have been changed and I have no recourse. Instead of flying directly to Calgary from Cancun I am flying to Toronto first with a 2 hour wait and then on to Calgary. So instead of a 4 hour flight that I paid more money for myself and my 2 children are being put on an 11 hour milk run in which I do not receive any compensation for. Customer service tried to tell me that maybe there were any seats available which is a lie because I had booked 4 seats in November. My partner seat on the direct flight from Cancun to Calgary remains unchanged. So apparently, West Jet is in the business of kicking off customers who use third parties such as Expedia and putting them on crappy, milk run flights in order to sell more seats. This is such garbage and what is even more galling is that I have NO recourse. No one seems to be able to help me. I am surprised West Jet that you do not empower your customer service people to make things better for your customers. What’s even more surprising is that you thought that changing a DIRECT FLIGHT from Cancun to Calgary to a MILK RUN from Cancun to Toronto to Calgary is acceptable.
