I moved in at the end of AUGUST but before I moved in I was told my deposit would be 300 but when I was ready it was changed to 600 and 600 for a full months rent. Move in date was 8/25_2022. Was told instead of pro rating the last days in Aug. I had to pay full rent and second month would be pro rated. New one on me. Anyway I got behind due to some unforseen circumstances and the confusion about the prorated rent. I was getting charged late fees and all. I was served eviction, went to court, given 5 days to appeal or move out. I appealed. On. Sunday the complex manger comes and changes the door lock. Never once informing me. I’m a vet and so is she. I got up on Monday and informed her that I was gonna appeal the eviction and she said I couldn’t and that they had rented my apt out. She then tells me she is going to get it where I have hour to get my **** out. I call the complex and get no answer. She calls me back and I ask her why she is doing this. Reply was Fy and don’t call f ING call me. Once appeal is done I come back to apt and she decides to call the police. Well during that time constable comes and ask me did I threaten her or her assistant. No sir I did not. Cops come and check out the paperwork discussions go back and forth until cops leave because she wanted me off property but I have rights during the appeal. Later she trys having car towed, next morning there is a sticker stating car is getting towed on the 14th. Had a meeting nxt morning when I got back car was gone. I had been asking for a key to the lock that she changed on Sunday when she had no right to do. Next thing is she tells me they didn’t feel comfortable bringing the key to me so I had to wait until a male maintenance guy came back. Well I’m still waiting for the key. Got help with catching up rent only to find out she is charging me for a door (400) and a lock (65) that she changed. Well the. Door was never damaged nor did I change the lock so why does she feel like she can charge me for the these items and think that it’s OK. I’m a Vet and so is she and since I first moved in all I have heard her say is she will help vets. Also wanted constable to issue me a Criminal trespassing ticket. All this because she thought I didn’t have a right to appeal the eviction. I feel like I am being harassed now because she didn’t know the tenants rights. Have tried to get help from legal aid but no one ever answers the phone. Don’t know what else I can do. I do think that trying to charge me for the door that is the same as it was the day I moved in and for a lock that she decided to change before I had finished with the appeal process.
