To say that my experience was undesirable is, well, an understatement. Two nights in a row were Subway fails for my husband and myself, the first one being in the McCaysville, Georgia store on Wednesday 10621, and then last night at the Blue Ridge, Georgia store. We frequent the McCaysville, GA store 1-2 a week, and on this particular night at 6:20pm, we went and were refused service- the open sign was still on- because the two employees working were tired and too busy with online order fulfillment. We joked with them that were VIP’s, and then they asked us to leave and maybe come back later. There were still people coming into the restaurant, lining up behind us. We were extremely disappointed, as we both work two jobs and did not want to cook, but turned around to leave, and we heard the employees laughing at us- this was pretty disappointing, as you can expect. The following evening, I decided to try out the Blue Ridge, GA store, close to my office. I also had a gift card from a client, so wanted to utilize that, even though my husband had sworn off Subway. I placed my order online, for pickup at 5:50pm. I arrived at 6pm, and the ridiculous began. I should’ve known when the woman in line ahead of me told me to not bother even trying to order, stating that she had been there for close to half an hour already. There was one person working, a young woman by the name of Sarah, I believe, who was also trying to watch her toddler son, as she attempted to work. She was visibly distracted and irritable, and kept announcing to the patrons waiting for their orders that she is only one person and that we would have to deal with it. When she finally got to me- 6:17pm, I asked her about my online pickup order, and she became frustrated with me and asked if it looked like she was able to get it done. I went through my order again with her- had to tell her what items are supposed to go on the sandwiches, for example, telling her three times that the BMT had ham on it, to which point she just ignored me. At this point, I gave up, took the items that were incorrect, and left. We did not eat our sandwiches. We will not be visiting either Subway stores in our area again. I just wish to be refunded. I understand all to well what it means to be overworked and stressed out- however, the lack of customer service and professionalism were outstanding. That woman should not have had her child in the restaurant, while she was working, running behind the counter and disrupting her. Those employees the night before should not have laughed at us when they told us they were too tired to assist us. This reflects greatly on your company and franchises.
