Sara Christian a white girl posed in an online photo wearing a ceremonial Native American headdress and wrote that she was tapping into her inner Indian. I tried to explain to her about Cultural Appropriation. I’ve told her that its disrespectful and pleaded with her to take it down. She refused and would neither take it down nor apologize. Her white male friends and relatives made blatantly racist remarks and tried to intimidate me. She demonstrates white privilege by continuing to keep the photo up and disrespecting my culture.
