We purchased a Samsung Model RF25 HMWSBSRAA10 refrigerator from Sears on April 16, 2015. Two months after purchase, the ice maker quit working because of a fauly design and froze up. We called Sears and they sent their repairman to fix it. He advised the ice maker isn’t covered under Samsungs warranty and charged us $478.66 to replace the ice maker. Two months later, it broke again with the same problem. I didn’t want to spend another $478 again, so we just left it broke. I paid over $3,000.00 for this piece of junk. A friend of mine purchased the same refrigerator one year before me. He called Samsung and they admitted there was a problem with the ice maker and came to his house and installed a new ice maker just two weeks ago. I called Samsung on four occasions and was told they would replace mine also for free. Then I get an email stating they don’t have a service repair company in my area and will not be able to fix it. They said I could find my own repairman and have him fix it and they would pay the bill. I’m not trusting them anymore on anything they say. There has to be a repair service tech somewhere close to me. They came when I called. Samsung keeps calling the same service which does not service my area. They won’t call anyone else even though I have given them names. What can I do? Come to my house and replace the ice maker for free.
