  1. I have an issue with GM and a part they mfg and was defective on my camaro. 4 or 5 years ago.i had an engine replaced in my car that was caused by a defective oil sensor switch. I took my car to castle Chevrolet of villa park ill to have a starter replaced and they let me leave the shop with an engine knock that I didn’t have when I first took my camaro in for a starter replacement but there technicians are top notched perfect that they didn’t tell me my engine was knocking. Hmmmm but remind you corporate said there technicians are hand picked, the best but they didn’t tell me my engine was knocking. I was still on the premises when I noticed it. Eventually it was replaced but 4 or 5 years later the oil sensor switch didn’t activate in the instrument panel and I had a rod knock but this time I had an alternator replaced and the next day I had a rod knock. So I had the same problem again where the oil sensor switch didn’t activate again. They said it was no oil in the engine but mind you I just had an oil change 3 weeks before they replaced the alternator and I had no oil leaks but after they replaced the alternator the next day No oil in the engine, hmmmm something sounds fishy. Remember there technicians are top notched but the first thing top notched technicians Will do is check the oil but I wasn’t notified of no oil leaks or the oil was low but a day later I has a rod knock. GM corporate headquarters was of no assistance at all and really didn’t try to help. I kept telling them how I didn’t know if the technicians didn’t put the faulty oil sensor switch from the old engine onto the newer engine 4 or 5 years ago and know I’m having the same problems again with the oil sensor switch as before. I kept telling them that’s an manufacturing problem that the switch didn’t do what it’s supposed to do. They don’t want to stand behind their products. Its like screw the consumers we have your money so we’re on our own. I’ve been a loyal camaro owner for 30 years this year form 1989 until 2019 and look how I get treated. Its like corporate wasn’t trying to hear what I had to say and I kept telling them I had this problem years ago but I was blown off. See how us consumers are treated and they let me leave with no oil and an engine knock. I need my car for work and I have an elderly mom at home who’s almost 80 on an oxygen machine that I take to her doctors appointment and to the hospital when she’s sick. Just honor your products and replace my engine is all I ask for.

  2. I have a 2016 Silverado with 134,000 miles on it. Even though Ive never towed anything but my 17 foot fishing boat, my transmission went out. There obviously was a defect in the transmission itself, because it should have lasted well beyond the mileage it did. Does GM have any reimbursement policy for defective transmissions?
