Stopped by one of my local family Dollar Stores at about 920p on Thursday 14th and picked out aprox 30 or so clearance items and had them in a buggy ready to purchase. The lady working said I could not purchase more than 10 items. She stated that she had not had the opportunity to put up signage. I expressed that I often shop clearance and had never heard of such a policy. She explained “ a woman “like” you cleaned out my last clearance not leaving any items for anyone else”. She explained that people who need the items need a chance to shop too. Then proceeded with a story of a grand mother on a fixed income that was upset about no items being available. By that point I stopped listening. I left my buggy of items and took 10 that I wanted the most. I proceeded over to the winter hats and gloves and got several. I knew they were on sale, they were not marked. I got to the register and the lady took 2 out of my pile and tossed them behind her. Refusing to ring them up. I spent $20 plus tax vs the $130 I would have spent.
Prices were all messed up for Easter items.
Confetti eggs were where they said they were $1. They ringing up $3. I asked the manager about it. He got an attitude ripped the dollar sign off crumbed it up n through it in the trash. All he had to do was honor the price. This was at the store on Alameda n Chambers
I went in to your store to add money to my cash app after standing there for a few minutes a girl came up to the counter and you could tell she was irritated I told her that I wanted to put $205 on my cash app by her actions I could tell that she did not want to wait on me she took the money and started hitting the screen trying to put the information in and kept messing up another girl came up asked her what was going on she told her that she could not get that thing to work in for her to do it she then left from behind the counter and took off with an attitude the other girl had the money in her hand the first girl as she was walking off told her that I was wanting to put $105 on my cash app the whole time they are holding the 205 that I gave them I spoke up and said that it was 205 not 105 needless to say I was ignored and the girl put $105 on my cash app I saw what the register said and I asked her how much did you put on there and she said 105 as she was getting ready to stick the money in the register and then told her I wanted 205 put on the cash app because that’s what she was holding it was $205 in her hand that I gave her she plainly counted that money in front of me and still willingly put 105 in there it was going to put the other hundred in the register I’m sure not going to tip your employees $100 she said oh I’m sorry she said she told me 105 in the whole time I’m sitting there thinking I spoke up and said 205 but I was ignored she went ahead and tried to put the other hundred on my cash app she tried three times and it was denied for some reason she couldn’t figure out why I told her that I would just take my other hundred back at all that I will never be in your Haskell Avenue Store in Knoxville your employees especially the two girls that were working for 1922 were the rudest people that I have ever dealt with that worked in stores if you want to know who your employees are then I’m talking about pull your schedule and see who was working April the night after 4:00 PM I suggest you do more training with your employees because I honestly feel that that other hundred was going to be pocketed by your employee if I hadn’t of been paying attention but when I gave them the money it was a $100 bill $100 in 20s and a five dollar bill there is no way she missed those 20s and thought that I was just putting 105 in there.I will be telling people not to go to your store
I am an employee for Family Dollar at the Millville New Jersey location and I’ve been there since November I’ve came from Dollar General as in Asm and I was always helping the cashier’s the assistant managers even the store manager do their job because I know what I was doing and they needed help that I can help that much so I helped them but in the process I’ve had nothing but drama and issues with other employees that work there now we have a new store manager new employees and I’m still having to do other people’s jobs just being a cashiertruck unloaderstocker and still having the same problem as before but worse I failed the assessment because i was told by an assistant manager that I had problems but but I thought she was my friend and helping me out she told me I had to take the assessment at home on my own time so I did it at home in the morning while all three of my kids were home and I guess I failed it and then she became an assistant manager because she took the test so I have to wait until June to retake the test so the new store manager still has me doing everybody’s duties with training cashiers assistant managers the whole nine yards and I’m just tired of it and not getting paid the right pay and when I said that she cut my hours back and when I asked for a transfer she denied it then I went to her manager the district manager and said something about everything going on which Des district manager already knew it from the old manager she turned around and denied it as well and with any other company that you work with nobody can deny transfer I want to know why I was denied to transfer and can’t be a manager with the experience all because of an assessment that somebody screwed me on and why I’m being told no I can’t transfer when I’m having nothing but problems and doing other people’s jobs at the store I am at and if I say anything like I’m doing now I’m afraid she’s going to cut my hours even more but I am tired of working for a cashier’s rate when doing manager’s duties it’s not right I am going to start looking into talking to a lawyer all I want is a transfer and a title that is entitled to me
I have relatives working at Store 1991, and I am concerned about their safety, due to communication from them of General Manager announcing no cell phones allowed inside the store. In addition, Store 1991, has no working telephone service, inside the store.
The store has had several robberies, and Family Dollar Store 1991 has no safety for its employees at this store, in which Police andor 911 can be call.
This is FORMAL NOTIFICATION to your company, before further notification is made with the News Media, and other human rights and employee rights companies are notified.

The incident occurred on 4-24-22 approximately 3:30 p.m. There was a cart blocking the chips. As I attempted to move it, she said very sharply you are not allowed to move the cart because it’s Corporate’s rules. The cart was a safety issue and should not have been in the aisle. I purchased headphone. It did not work with the PS-4 gaming system. I returned to the store within 30 minutes and asked for an exchange. Again she was very rude and insisted it was Corporate’s policy. I explained that there was not a sign indicating no exchanged if box was open. Rudely she said it’s Corporate’s policy. She was very condescending .She spoke with a high pitch voice. A pregnant sales clerk was in the background smirking. I was embarrassed. There was not a sign indicating no exchange if box was open nor did the receipt indicate the return policy. Therefore, I should have been able to exchange for the more expensive headphones. Then she should have put up the store policy regarding exchanges. The cart should never be left unattended where customers are shopping. This is a safety issue. She should have communication training. I have shopped at his store since it opened. I live 2 minutes away. As long as she is the manager I will not go back and I will encourage others not to shop there. I would like a full refund. I do not want to do business at that store. The total refund is $15.90.
I sent my kids to the store for a box of diapers the price said $20 but rang up $23 the cashier sold them a pack of diapers, never offered them a receipt. I took the pampers back to the store and asked for an exchange or a refund, the store supervisor refused to do either because we didn’t have the receipt she failed to offer the kids. So I stood there and said no business will be exchanged until we get this resolved she walked and away and said we had this discussion already so I asked for cooperate number every last employee refused to give me the number. I said you will call someone up here if I walk out with them the continued to ignore me. So I left the diapers I didn’t want a left with the diapers that I needed. I offered to pay the difference but no associate would proceed with the transaction so I left. The. The manager finally decided to follow me out the store to get my plate number. I am not a thief I am a tax payer I was humiliated in front of multiple people because this African American lady failed to offer the kids a receipt. Was it because they were kids she didn’t offer the receipt? I am sill willing to pay the difference but I have never been treated so rudely and undignified in my entire life and the whole situation is very distasteful on my behalf and your employees. I’ve visited this store on countless times; I’ve notice, many items are in-correctly posted on shelves. -@- 05022022. 18:18:36. I purchased Two Snack bags of Chips, there were listed as: $1:00 -a- piece. Then -@- check-out, she charged me $1:25 -a- piece…I stated that this is -a- recurring Problem! This store used to be decent but over the past year it’s been the worst one I’ve been in. I attached 1 picture but this has been throughout the whole store lately They really need all new people and to clean the whole place
Three days ago I was shopping at your store I was purchasing a American Express Prepaid gift card and two packs of cig.s .I told your cashier I was putting 100.00 dollars on the card and I wanted two packs of cig.s .For some reason she rang the gift card up by its self I paid for the gift card and gave her a hundred dollar bill to put on my card she then rang up the cig.s I paid for them .I get home to use my card to pay my car insurance bill and the card dosent work ,I call the number on the card and it says she never activated the card .I have receipt for cig s but not for card. .I go up there ,I shop there at least four days a week she remembers me the other lady working then remembers me the cashier acknowledges I was there I bought the card put a hundred on it and insist she did activate it ,and would not help me because I have no receipt for it but I do the cig s and the other items I bought before the gift card and paid for with my food stamp card .I asked why she rang the gift card up on a separate ticket than my cig.s and she got snappy and rude with me and said because cig.s can not be rang up on the same ticket as the gift card which is a complete lie .I called American Express yesterday I told them what had happen and gave them the number on the card .And they said that the card had not been activated because there was no money ever put on the card .that’s why I have no receipt because she didn’t give me one .your cashier scammed me , you have a thief working for you that is stealing from your customers ,I am calling the Chief of Police for the bossier city Sheriff’s Department tomorrow and IAM also calling the better business bureau .It was a 100.00 not ten not twenty a hundred dollars .
