Hello,
I am the elder sister of the man, Dr Jon Jenkins, aka Will Smithson (just the one alias I know of), who has posted this cruel and malicious defamation of Millie Vervoot. I know it is my brother’s work because I was close to Jon and Millie as a couple and recognize the language as his.
The relationship broke down because Jon introduced himself to Millie as a single man, having an amicable parting with his wife and still living in the marital home. Jon maintained a close relationship with Millie for a year before she discovered that he was not, in fact separated from his wife and had been keeping his relationship with her a secret from his immediate family.
This deception was beginning to fray, Jon was arguing with his children and his wife and taking it out on Millie. The **** really hit the fan when an innocent holiday snap of Jon and her with a friend between them, that Millie had posted on her FaceBook, surfaced.
Jon became increasingly abusive to Millie, and she became increasingly distressed, feeling she didn’t want to be his ‘dirty little secret’.
The last time I saw them together, he’d formally separated, moved out of the marital home and was starting to become unstuck himself. His behavior towards Millie was disgusting, yet she remained, caring, tolerating and helping where she could, slowly distancing herself as he became more erratic and abusive.
I remained friends with Millie, in close communication with her over this period, and can affirm that Millie is none of those characteristics the post accuses her of. At no time was she anything but kind and remarkably tolerant of his bad behavior.
Jon stayed in contact with Millie during the divorce and settlement proceedings, living in his van, getting into trouble with a married woman and becoming rather unhinged. The relationship had ended a long time before Jon posted this nasty piece of slander on your site.
Understandably, Millie is distraught at this malicious, defaming public post, but she is a carer for her elderly mother and cannot afford the legal processes to force its removal.
English being her second language, I am writing to you to beg you to remove it.
