Optimum — NO RUSSIAN TECHNICIAN

On Monday 1042021 in the morning I call the office of Optimum and requested to get a technician to set up TV-set and internet in my new place of living. I asked to send someone who speaks Russian because I will be at home on Tuesday 1052021 and will not be available, the only person this day if they have it would be my mother. I asked them 3 times to make sure that it will be Russian Speaking technician as the last time because they sent one and everything was done well enough. My mother is 69 and she needs to ask questions and she does not speak English and I repeated it 3 times. So, today 1052021 at around 1:52 PM (even it should be 2 PM till 5 PM) my mother texted me and called me that the Optimum person came but he seems like does not speak English and she does not know what to do because he is calling her and speaks English. I go the number 347-578-4977 and spoke to the person asking what has happened and he said that he came to provide service and he needs my mother to let him in and show him where to set up the service. I called mother but she at her age became afraid and asked for Russian speaking and was requested by me on 1042021 and stated that she needs to ask questions and there was nobody to help her because I personally was at work and was not able to help. By the way, I asked for a time after 5:30 PM when I was requesting the service but I was not provided with the right time for me so the only time we had was 2 PM to 5 PM. I called a technician and told him that we requested yesterday 1042021 and I did apologize and explained to him that we requested a Russian-speaking person because the mother does not speak English. At around 2:08 PM my mother texted me that people from Optimum calling her and sent me screenshot proof of call which was on 1052021 at 2:06 PM from 718-617-3500. Right away I called them back and asked NOT to call her number because yesterday I did provide my number for any questions if anything. I was going back and forth with a lady who said that there is no Russian-speaking people in their firm and stating that they can reschedule appointment but that can cost us $80 for service. Later on back and forth she said that she will try to ask if that might be not charged and I was on hold twice. And I know some people working with Optimum who are Russians. So, when the new installation was they found Russian-speaking right away and when you need to move they do not have one. Also, I received a text from my mother’s phone Number stating that as soon as I called Optimum the car disappeared. Since that all and I was on the phone asking NOT to call my mother because they have my number they still were calling her and spoke in English. Also from one amount of around $120.00 I was provided with $145.00 When I called again I asked why now they changed the price and I did not ask for I was told that they just added some insurance and something else but I said that I did not ask for that why would they do it and instead of canceling all added options I was told that we can install it and after call them and cancel all. At the end of the day, my mother felt really bad and that nobody can help her if I am at work and nobody can assist her even provide her with a simple translation. She was crying when I talked to her and at the end of my working day she felt very weak and felt bad. I would like to get compensation for my mother’s health issues and her stress, after all, she went through during this day 1052021.
