It is no secret that OGE is notorious for treating their customers horribly. I have been a customer (because we have no other energy companies in Oklahoma) for over 5 years, Occasionally I pay my electric bill after the due date. I had my checking account compromised, so I had to get a new account number. OGE tried to debit my account for $1, yes $1 dollar and it did not go through. Because of this, I was hit with a $300 deposit, which they spit up in two bills. I was not told of this. It makes my $90 electric bill over $200. I have explained to them multiple times that I live paycheck to paycheck. A $300 bill literally means eating or not. I have been told by multiple supervisors that because I don’t make my payments onetime, there is nothing they can do. I feel like they get to treat people however they want because the monopolize Oklahoma. Someone needs to help. They need to be blasted for how they treat people. They can’t get away with this.
