I am extremely upset about Days of Our Lives being taken off of NBC TV and exclusively put onto Peacock. Your target viewer is someone who has watched this show for over 50 years on TV. I use my computer but do now wish to sit in front of it in a desk chair leaning on a wooden computer desk, my comfortable chair in my living room is far better. Many people who have been faithful viewers may live in assisted living and nursing homes besides people like me who watch from home and being comfortable viewing TV is a must to enjoy the show. I am a retired nurse and know first hand that viewing tv is far more inviting then sitting clustered around a computer screen. Another issue to consider is that NBC has 4 hours of news in the morning, I watch all 4 hours from the Today Show, The Third hour of the today show and Hoda and Jenna which I do enjoy as I watch it or tape and watch later in the day as my schedule fits. After all this news the last thing I really want to watch is a 5 hour of news especially knowing my show, Days of Our Lives has been hijacked to boost your ratings and viewership to a streaming platform. I have been a faithful viewer of NBC for decades and am frustrated and upset with NBC’s decision to basically ignore a large viewer base to gain viewership on a streaming platform to make the site more profitable. Putting money before viewers is definitely showing viewers without access to streaming or prefer the TV format for a number of reasons that they are not valued or acknowledged as important to your corporate plans. I have read many comments from people trying to get onto Peacock and there has been major issues connecting and viewing. In my case my son helped set the Peacock site for me and for a few days I binged Days of Our Lives then one day I went on and was told my configuration was in ERROR with a sad cat picture, again my son get my back on Peacock and again it happened. Besides the 6 shows I did binge I am again dealing with configuration issues after being told everything was fixed and I could again watch which lasted 2 days and again the configuration kitty appeared. Needless to say I am frustrated and upset that maybe NBC could put their new news show on Peacock and leave Days of Our Lives where people can comfortably view and enjoy the hour so many of us have looked forward to for decades in a comfortable setting so everyone could be less frustrated and upset. Thank you for allowing me to share my concerns which I feel many others, especially in my age group feel. Seriously putting Days of Our Lives back on NBC to allow viewers to continue viewing a show that has been a stable of NBC for over 50 years with viewers like me looking forward to a hassle free, comfortable viewing experience . This negative shift to Peacock for a show that has offered your network to enjoy years of viewer satisfaction that in turn increases advertising and profits not to mention good will. NBC is my main go to station and I am hoping my comments can at least help NBC realize that people should be considered before making shifts that many of us did not choose and have now been forced to work with a service that has issues in viewing which is quite frustrating in so many ways as I had out lined in my above comments.
