The Disqualification of the number 11 18 Toyotas, thus punishing the drivers for the tape found on the front of their card was the wrong call. The drivers had no thing to do with this issue and almost assuredly had no knowledge of this. It has also been said that there was a spy in the garage that saw the tape before the wrap was done but kept silent until the end of the race and then went straight to your officials, which in turn iduring post race inspection went straight to the tape. If the number 1118 had finished outside the top 10 nothing would have been said or done, but this spy was holding in to this knowledge to use at a strategic opportunity. The spy was most likely a Hendrick employee. The drivers should have kept their finishing positions but no points etc and JGR should have received the fines punishments. This stain will follow these two Hall of Fame drivers due to NASCAR overreaching for something they had no part in. Does NASCAR really think the tape had anything to do with outcome of the race? (Of course not). NASCAR has shown it’s real colors as a Toyota Gibbs Christian Organization hater and your bias against them. Stop being a Woke, PC organization and think about the implications of what you do. You have become an organization that run by money hungry corporate raiders only concerned about the dollar in turn ruining this great American Sport!
