Motel 6 — Discrimination

On February 2nd 2022 I went to the Motel 6 Kelso Washington I attempted to rent a room only to be called a crack head. The reason I was attempting to get a room was because on DEC. 28th, 2021 my home caught fire, l lost everything including my 3 beloved dogs. Since the fire ice been homeless trying to figure out what I’m going to do. I at no point gave this so called assistant manager any reason to suspect I was as he put it a crack head. I had broken no laws, rules. I was very respectful, I spoke clearly at a regular speed, I was not figiting ,moving around erradicly, I was completely normal. I had money to rent for at least 2 nights. The employee also claimed he was running my ID for warrants which I had no problem with as I do nor have Any but I’m not entirely sure that’s even legal . I have rented at this same establishment in the past with out any problems. I am hoping this can be resolved with a messy law suit but I am fully prepared to contact my attorney if not. I have several friends who travel on business who frequent motel 6 all across the US and they are all willing to take their business elsewhere if I’m not given the proper compensation I deserve. I am a human being, I have rights and I will fight for them. I have honestly never been more insulted or embarrassed in my entire life. There is a law against discrimination and if I’m not mistaken profiling as well. If this mam truly is an assistant manager then I question the person who hired him and this entire kelso motel 6. He was beyond unproffesional , he lacks the ability to interact at an intellengent level and has no people skills whatsoever.
