After using this service for over a decade with long periods of inactivity, mail.com has deactivated my email account. It stated after 6 months of inactivity they have started the deletion process and nothing can be done. They cannot guarantee that I will be able to re-register the email address as well. This is quite concerning as my email is used for 2fa on some other applications. They have never enforced the inactivity T.O.S. prior, and did not provide proper notification that the account would be deactivated/deleted.
