LA Fitness — Deceptive business practices

I’ve been a loyal member of LA Fitness in Bristol, CT for close to 10 years. They recently started rebranding to ESporta and are offering new members memberships for $9.99 a month. I pay $25. When I asked to have my membership changed to $9.99 per month I was promptly told I would need to wait 90 days and pay almost $400 in fees. I tried calling LA fitness corporate to cancel my membership and no one answered and they do not have a voicemail box set up. Additionally, they make it so you can’t cancel online and the branch manager is the only one who can cancel it at my local branch – and he is only there during the week during normal business hours. I work during those times and it is impossible for me to go in to cancel during those times. I want to cancel my membership and warn other potential customers about this business’s deceptive business practices.
