Kisling, Nestico & Redick — Stressful the entire way through

In May of 2019, I was in a car accident and filed a claim with the assistance of Kisling, Nestico, Redick LLC. They were responsive at the beginning of the claim, and within a few months had given me half of the settlement. LeAnn that does the billing for the Torc recovery stated on several occasions it would be only a few months until the claim was completed. As of to date, she is telling me that it could be up to a year and a half until I could receive my final settlement through the law firm. Prior to today’s conversation with her, she( along with the other attorneys in the office) stated that the final settlement would occur within 2 months, then it was changed to 3 months, then 6 months, then a year, and as stated before I was told today it will be a year and a half. LeAnn states that Medicaid has liens on settlement ( through Ohio TORC) And stated that they have not received a final lien on bills due from Medicaid. When I reached out to Medicaid and requested an itemized statement of charges pertaining specifically to the accident, I reviewed 3 charges where it has not been paid. When I have reached out to the hospitals that provided the care, they state these are the only bills due. I understand that bills must be paid, however, there is a great deal of money that the attorney’s office is sitting on. Why have they not been paid? If I can get the bills why can’t Leann gets the final statement. I am a disabled man and need my settlement. In a review of complaints in regards to this law firm, this seems to be an ongoing issue and concern for many clients. I also plan on contacting the bar association. I would think that 7 months, would be ample time to get a resolution since they have already received the claim from the insurance company, and furthermore the attorneys took their monies owed off the top of my settlement. I would like to see a resolution in regard to this issue before the end of the year. This process has been very stressful the entire way through. Leann has been condescending in most conver.
