Is this really a family you want to bet your life on? This story begins…
1) Mr. Tomer was a Pastor of a church in Benton, IL until they asked him to leave.
2) He and his sons promoted a multi-level company that sold a gas additive product. Many members of the community and the church followed Mr. Tomer’s advice to get involved. A few even invested with him in purchasing Elvis Presley’s jet, the Lisa Marie, to use as a publicity stunt to promote this scheme. The company went out of business and Mr. Tomer left lots of his friends holding the bag.
3) The Tomer family joined a multi-level company named A.L. Williams. The family recruited thousands to this company. As the Tomer family began to make a lot of money off the folks that had joined A. L. Williams under them the unpaid obligations from the gas additive business finally got up with them. Mr. Tomer, knowing that his income was growing substantially, filed for bankruptcy. This left the other investors in Elvis Pressley’s plane holding the bag.
4) During his time at A.L. Williams, Mr. Tomer alienated many of those that had joined him by starting another multi-level company, DebtFree America. He convinced many of his A.L. Williams representatives to work with his new company. This violated his contracts with A. L. Williams, but these things don’t seem to matter much to the Tomer family. A. L. Williams required him to live up to his agreement with them or resign. By now, DebtFree America was receiving attention from regulators and the press. Instead of resigning and supporting the new company that he had formed and convinced others to join, he stayed at A.L. Williams and continued to take their paychecks. He put his son “in charge” of DebtFree America. The company was soon out of business. Once again, others were left holding the bag. Many of the A. L. Williams agents that left to join DebtFree America now found themselves out of work.
5) Once again violating contracts with A.L. Williams, the Tomer family kept money coming in even off of these folks by negotiating for them to represent a competitor of A. L. Williams. Mr. Tomer put his son “in charge” of this operation. This company’s founder later left amid regulatory investigations.
6) Mr. Tomer solicited several of his A. L. Williams representatives to invest in a travel agency. This agency ceased operations within a year with all the investors holding the bag except, Mr. Tomer. As Mr. Tomer was on the company’s “inner circle” he knew of the impending shutdown. He arranged to get all records, computers, agents, etc of the soon to be closed business. This is what became the business you are now looking at joining, Your Travel Biz (YTB). We don’t understand why none of the investors have sued yet. Once again to protect himself, he put his son “in charge” of YTB.
7) After leaving the insurance business and officially taking over YTB, the Tomers became involved with a printing business, BerylMartin. The Tomers solicited investors for this business. That business then went bankrupt and the former CEO has been indicted for securities fraud. The Tomers bought this business out of bankruptcy. Once again the Tomers come out on top and everyone else ends up holding the bag.
8) And if that isn’t enough…The Tomers have started another multi-level gimmick, The Harvest Club. For every dollar you donate to this non-profit, they’ll give $.80 back to your church or other group. Isn’t that big of them! The other 20% goes to commissions and guess who gets a bunch of them. Sounds like the Tomers have set themselves up for another harvest alright.
Why would you spend your energy working with someone that has this kind of track record? Remember what your mother told you, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!”
