I started to file my taxes online using the free option. When I got to the deductions portion for my HSA it would not allow me to complete that section unless I agreed to pay the 29.99 for the deluxe package. Out of frustration I agreed and moved on with my return. Once I completed my federal and state taxes it took me to the section to pay for my services…at which point I was being charged for the 29.99 deluxe package and then an additional 36.99 for my state taxes which had been free until I agreed to pay the 29.99. I have used HR Block either in person or online for many years. After this I will no longer be using your services. I also called customer service and spoke with a woman who hung up on me. I would like to note that I was not in any way rude to her.
