Parkdean Resorts have ruined my daughters family and her friends family’s holiday this half term week. As an Owner at Cherry Tree for the past 16 years, I booked the Monday to Friday break, 25 Oct to 29 Oct, for Two Caravans side by side, with a highly incompetent employee of Parkdean Resorts on Sunday 16 August at approximately 11am. It took her 45 minutes to complete the telephone booking and didn’t appear to know what she was doing. She was more concerned about her dogs barking in the background. When accommodation email was received yesterday, the 2 caravans couldn’t have been further apart. A good 15 minutes walk. Not at all acceptable. This was not what was paid for. Apparently when my daughter queried this, she was told the person who dealt with the booking had not actually linked the 2 caravans together and that’s why they were so far apart. She was told there really wasn’t anything they could do about it. Any decent Company would have done what was necessary to rectify their mistake!! It’s quite easy to adjust accommodation numbers and inform holidaymakers that an error had occurred and they needed to change their number. They simply couldn’t be bothered. Both families have young children and this has caused them all a lot of stress, as the holiday they were meant to be enjoying, has turned into an absolute nightmare!! There ain’t no holiday like a Parkdean Holiday!!! What a laugh. Parkdean Resorts should act immediately to rectify this problem, to enable the two families to enjoy what is left of their half term break. I would also expect a partial refund, as they have not been allocated the correct accommodation next to each other, as paid for. The unnecessary stress caused to them has already spoil, which should have been an enjoyable break together.
