Ordered a Hive Home thermostat through British Gas my provider at the time and requested a professional install. The engineer without my express permission took away the control unit on the front of my Worcester Bosch boiler which now prevents me from altering the hot water temperature in my taps, so I can’t save energy in this ongoing crisis. Hive says it’s BG to blame, BG says it’s Hive and I have lots of email traffic to prove this. No-one is now answering my escalated requests for a resolution.
I didn’t realise this had happened until the increased awareness raised by the energy companies encouraged you to dial down thermostats etc.

Ideally replace the dials removed from the original control panel, or provide a dual channel Hive to allow me to control that temperature of the hot tap water. Also provide some level of compensation for the loss of utility and additional gas costs.(not to mention time and disruption in making the extended complaint.
