Steve Pavone is a nice guy however the quality of work is poor, have been battling our deck issues which he built last year, my husband bought a tinted sealer against Steve Pavone’s recommendation, when he and his son were here to spray the deck and I saw it was an ugly orange, I asked them to stop, they used our pressure washer to remove what they could of the stain. We bought the sealer and his son and another employee came to spray the deck in which the job was less than professional and incomplete. My husband called Steve Pavone, he came and took pictures of the deck and submitted them to his son stating “what were you thinking?” So Steve Pavone then came to flip boards because we now have three colors on our deck which looks like someone with little to no skill has worked on this. Steve Pavone came back to speak with my husband regarding the deck because he wanted to make it right, he knew we were upset and disappointed, my husband said he would talk with me about it and get back with him, and he did giving him instructions as to what needed to be addressed. He sent his son and the man who pressure washed our deck who didn’t do the job right to begin with, so I phoned Steve Pavone in which he decided to cut his losses when I was upset that he would send the two people who had messed up from the start. I was then told that it was not their fault we picked out a tinted seal against his recommendation, and I agreed, however I was home during that process and stopped them before they had the stain on most of the deck. After spending the money we did to have this deck built, and now to have this shabby unprofessional job is very upsetting. Would we recommend this company? Only if you wanted to have a dog house built in which no one was going to see. We paid a lot of money for this deck, we believe this company is at fault for the majority of the problem, even though Steve Pavone seems to believe we are at fault. Resolution would be for this company to pay for the material we spent to build the deck. His written guarantee states warranty is good for 2 years on labor and manufactures warranty on materials, price includes material and labor.
