Nightmare! We have a business page on google where reviews can be left by ANYONE! We had a competitor write 7 one star reviews for our company all in one day. This competitor even told us in writing he was going to do the fake reviews. I forwarded the screen shot of his admittance that he promised he would write the fake reviews and then that he did it. This person even did 2 reviews in his own name and we could prove he is a competitor. Google doesn’t care….they tell us it’s not against their policy! I stopped running google ad words and won’t go back. I have read numerous blogs and see so many business owners with the same problem with google. The way they are set up is if you own a business page your competitors or anyone that has never had any association with your company can ruin your reputation in less than a day even though you have had a great reputation for years. Their answer to you “get more higher reviews to overcome those bad ones”. That also could take years to erase that one horrible day! Thanks for NO help Google!
