Google has wrongfully terminated our app publisher account – PlayTo with no notice and suspended 3 of our apps which have been online since 2012. PlayTo Google Publisher account has been terminated. 3 of our PlayTo Apps have been suspended on the PlayStore with invalid reasons. Issue: Violation of Impersonation policy: PlayTo apps have been live on Android Playstore since 2012. We released in 2012, and had no issues so far have been suspended and our account has been terminated? I just can’t understand the motive here. PlayTo is a set of applications are casting apps to the specified device. That’s it. We have had the same app name and users have been downloading the application SINCE 2012!!! PlayTo serves as a plain browser to search of local or online media and cast them. First of all ours apps have been wrongfully suspended and our account has been terminated without any prior notice. We don’t use any of their logos or names. PlayTo moniker for some of the applications indicates that the app can cast the a particular type of device, fo e.g PlayTo Samsung is designed to automatically detect any Samsung Smart TV’s and other DLNA devices connected to the same WiFi and set them as the default casting device. This is similar to myriad of remote control and other app specifically designed to work with Samsung TV. The various flavors of our app helps our users download the right app for their smart/casting device – with customized capabilities for each casting target. For e.g the our PlayTo Fire TV app launches the Fire TV receiver app that can be download from Amazon app store on the Fire TV device. We have always strived hard to make the quality of our app and adhering to Google Developer Policies. We also standardized to use Google Admob for Ads although there are many ad providers that provide a better CPM’s and also do not include any other 3rd party SDK’s – this is so that we stay compliant to policies and never accidentally do any malicious activities , often attributed to 3rd party SDK’s and Ad providers. We have solely leveraged only Google EcoSystem. We are small indie developer shop and I am a women in tech running this company and maintaining all the applications. The world is moving towards helping women developers, and companies like Apple are approaching me to develop this application on their platform, where are Google is stealing away the livelihood from its developer community. We have a strong feeling that Google is targeting indie developers and make them unsuccessful. This penalization for our company is unacceptable. We pay taxes, we base our livelihood on these apps, and terminating the account has made has taken our world away from us. We started the application in 2012/2013 we came with the names, which is our identity. We can’t change the name of application and loose our customers. 7 years of hardworking and investment into Google ecosystem, and they have terminated our account! This is not acceptable. Google is misusing its power by using bots and taking away the time, investment and paycheck from our lives leaving us in such a bad state. I am mother of 2 kids living in bay area and paying high cost of living. Google just took away my paycheck from me, how am I to pay for my kids schools, mortgage! My income has just reached 0 dollars! This is not acceptable at all. Is Google playing *** and taking my life away??? I need an answer.
