On September 19 I accidentally clicked on an app package that was $99.99 instead of the $9.99, when i realized it was trying tot authorize the purchase I closed out the window and apparently the charge still went through according to the email. I contacted Google right away and customer service checked with account payable and told me that he tried to get the refund approved but couldn’t because it was still “pending” and I would need to call back to cancel the pending authorization and then everything would be all set, if that didn’t work to call back once the charge would of posted in 3-5 business days and google will process the refund. I did this and American Express stated that only a merchant to merchant can cancel the charge not the customer. This means I can dispute the charge once it post or call google back in the 3-5 days. I just called google back and the agent I spoke with this time told me that its out of the 48 hour window so there is nothing they can do, but that this is my money and it should be refunded back to me so she can give me the merchant information and I can contact them and if I get no where with them then in 2-3 weeks I can reach back out to google for assistance. Why is the information different and when I did what I was told to do in the first place, I am an apple person who just switch to android and I don’t know how any of this works so I take you at your word, which apparently I shouldn’t do!! To top it all off when she was explaining all of this to me, she says “Hello, sir’” and I replied which she pretended she couldn’t hear me and disconnected the call to where I will have to call back, yet again to get this taken care of! Billing Adjustment A refund for the $99.99 that should not of been charged and has been promised back to me by both agents I have spoken with, as well as maybe some better and consistent training for your call center agents.
