Google Phones — No way to re download

I purchased a game via the Play Store. Within days of my purchase the game was removed from the store, now is non playable and can’t be re download. On October 4, 2019 I downloaded a game via the Play Store titled “Word Swipe”. I purchased to remove the ads for $2.99. Within a day of making my purchase, the game was removed from the app store. No way to re download, no way to update, no way to play for what I had purchased. I tried contact the developer (Lucky Kids Dev), but their site and email has been shut down or closed, along with the game being removed from the app store. I contacted Google Play customer service to get a refund of my $2.99, but was basically told “They got your money now! Keep calling their disconnected number! We have nothing to do with it.” which I find strange since Google is suppose to vet these apps for fraud and other concerns. The $2.99 isn’t going to make a dent in my wallet, but it’s the principle of it. They allowed a fraud to happen, by scamming who knows how many into this app, and then everyone was left with nothing, and the company we put our trust in with our money doesn’t seem to care one bit.
