Google Nest — I received a defective product

Google nest won’t connect to network, have tried to process exchange for two months. Poor customer service and lack of processing Purchased a Google Nest. Months later it won’t connect to the Network. I reach out to google on 8/11, I am told they can process an exchange and I’ll get an email with a cart link to finalize the exchange. I never get an email. So I have to reach back out. They take all of the same information and say they’ll send an email with a cart link to finalize the exchange. I finally get the email a few days later. Go through the process and hit submit. Get an email that the order could not be processed and that it’s been cancelled. I reach out again, they make me go through the same step, told I’ll get an email. Again nothing. I reach out again, go through the same steps, except this time I have to take a picture of the device and email it. I’m told the problem is on their end I’ll get an email. Again no email. I reach out again, go through all of the same steps again. I am told I’ll get an email. I have spent at least 2-3 hours per chat, which has been over 10 hours of my time trying to get a new thermostat for the defective one that was originally sent. I have asked for a refund but I am told that I can only get a refund if it’s within 30 days. I’ve spent money on a product, I received a defective product, and I’ve spent hours trying to get a replacement with no luck.
