I have device protection through Google Fi for my Pixel 3 phone and have been trying to get my phone repaired or replaced for a week. On 10/9/19 I started a service claim to repair my phone. Every time I contact customer support I am either told that I just need to wait longer, or told that I was sent an email regarding the repair. I check all of my email folders every day and have not received any communication about this. I pay a monthly fee for device protection and yet I am using a phone with a dangerously cracked screen.
