Giant Food Stores — Misinformation

I was told by the Self Check Rep that when you accrue 100 points that it can $1 can be redeemed in the future. No expiration was mentioned. Yesterday when I picked up a few things, I went to Customer Service for help to put on my $1 grocery bonus. I was told I only had 52 points, but that was for August. My reward was for July accrual. THEN I was informed I lost them. I know $1 is not a big deal to most, but I feel that I was misinformed as I would’ve redeemed sooner with the right information. Can you load $1 to my card and give me the REAL SCOOP for redemption? Thanks.
