Why did owners not get notified to take Equinoxes should have engines checked when they get around 100,000 miles. I had to replace my engine at a cost of $9000. The mechanic said he had replaced 10 or 11 of the 2.4 engines in the last year. If people had brought them in earlier he could have repaired them without total replacement. Engines today should last easily 200-300,000 miles. Disgusted in Iowa
