The property that we rented was unsanitary when we arrived. They did not answer the service call when attempted. I purchased items and cleaned I rented through RCI with Freedom Florida Vacation Rentals in Davenport, Florida. I asked prior to arrival for photos of the property, no response. I called prior to arrival to inquire as to how/when I would receive the address. I was told that it would be the week of. I called again and was told that they did not have contact information for me. When we arrived, the home was dusty to start. We arrived late at night, but when we pulled the comforters back on the bed, the sheets did not look washed. I proceeded to take the sheets from the bed to wash them and my guests began to do the same. When one of the guests pulled the sheets off, they found a very large, what looked to be urine stain on the mattress pad. At that point, everything was suspect so I began to wash all the linen and towels, including the pillows, pillow cases and comforters. The next day was Christmas Eve and the following day was Christmas Day. I called on Wednesday, December 26th after the holidays were over to discuss the matter. I also asked why we were not notified of the additional fees to heat the pool and to use the grill and mentioned that there were code violations with the loose banisters. This is poor management and poor customer service. I have attached some of the photos but there are additional documentations that were not able to be attached due to space. There are undisclosed fees, such as fees to heat the poo, fees to use the grill and I was charges $155.63 for a departure cleaning fee that was not disclosed, but was billed directly to my credit card.
