Faulkner Honda — Deceptive sales practices

Faulkner Honda engaged in deceptive sales practices. On February 29, 2020 I entered into a lease agreement on a new 2020 Honda in exchange for Faulkner Honda making all remaining payments and fees on my which was being turned into their neighboring sister dealership Faulkner and my down payment. After the lease documents were finalized and I took position of new vehicle, I received a phone call advising there were additional lease turn in fees which I would be responsible for. Several attempts to contact Faulkner Honda – via voicemail and email- have gone without response sans Faulkner Honda providing me a copy of a “lease turn in document” which lacked any signature or supporting information as proof that they had completed the lease turn in. Likewise, this document did not indicate any outstanding fees being due. Despite the lack of response, from February 29, 2020 to the date of receipt of statement (7/13/2020), I received no communication from Faulkner or leading me to believe any outstanding payments had been made and the matter resolved. Due to Faulkner’s action and lack of response, I allege they willfully and intentionally withheld information for their financial benefit. Likewise, I do not believe this is an oversight related to the COVID-19 pandemic as the original actions of and lack of response from Faulkner occured prior to the State’s shelter in place order and while they were operating under standard business hours.
