Explore Talent — Shady to not return money for services cancelled

My daughter begged me to sign up and I read reviews online which actually were mixed. The company seemed legit and my daughter did receive some offers but she never received a call back. We did not keep up with it and we actually forgot about it. Well… That is until they charged my account again. The same day I called to cancel and requested a refund. They said “no problem we can refund you.” Gave me a confirmation number and said I’d receive the money in 7-10 business days. After 2 weeks I called back and they said to check my bank and see if it’s pending “use your confirmation number and ask your bank.’ I did and bank said there’s nothing pending and they cannot look it up that way. I called the number in my email and it was not correct, so I called back the original number which worked. They stated that they were sorry and they’d get with their supervisor to expedite it within 3 days. They told me that it would be in on a holiday Monday, so at that point I knew that it would NOT be in by then. I called my bank on Tuesday to start the dispute. I filled out a dispute online and I’m just waiting for my refund. They were never rude to me and I am not sure still if they are legit but I think it is shady to not return money for services cancelled. I just want others to be cautious and if you need to cancel, do so before you get charged again!
