I have tried to keep this civil about this matter but eHarmony has not acknowledged my request. The first issue is that they stated that the first 3 months of membership would be 50% off and the first three months would be charged at $66.xx ish and then the price would increase to the normal charge for the remainder of the term, Before, I signed up I also checked the term and conditions and it stated that a person has 72 hours to decide if they wanted to keep their membership and during that time they could request a refund. When I checked out the price was $128 ish to be charged every three months, Not the stated amount. There was no mention anywhere that the pricing structure changed. Instead the discount was spread over the whole twelve months vs three. again no indication that was the case or noted on the website. I do have screenshots of the wording. I contacted eHarmony right away and they stated there was no way to do that offer in the system. Why offer something that they can’t even apply. After the person got backed to me with that answered I stated to cancel my account and refund me, the request was ignored. Mind you, wasn’t even a member but only for a couple of hours. Every day I sent a request to be canceled and the request was ignored and then they finally said no, oh well. This all occured in Sept 2022. Billing was set for every three months and to my surprise I was charged again in Oct 2022. I have disputed the charges due to false advertising and ignoring requests to cancel. Now I am being harassed about paying the amount in full because they received a charge back and might pursue legal action if not paid. Cancel my account as requested and to cancelclear all charges as I am not using the service and I tried to cancel within the time period stated.
