I requested someone come look at my garage door to quote a repair cost if possible. On 26 Aug 2021 a technician James W. McGrath arrived and proceeded to inspect the garage door. During the inspection, we discussed the age of the door, the color fade of the door versus new panels and installing a complete new door. After taking all of the information into account, I decided the best resolution to the issue was to purchase a complete new door. While completing the paperwork the technician informed me of the long lead time in receiving the door from the manufacturer. I agreed to an installation date of mid December 2021. I was then informed that a down payment was required. Instead of making a down payment, I paid the entire cost for the new door which totaled $2399.00. Here is where the problem with this company starts. I did not receive a call in December scheduling the installation. I also did not receive a call explaining a slip in the installation. I finally received a call in early January 2022 to schedule the installation. I scheduled the new door installation for 9 AM on 18 January 2022. When the installation team arrived on 18 Jan 2022, the first comment made as the personnel were getting out of the truck was the door would not fit the garage. The technicians then proceeded to remeasure the door and stated they needed to call the manager. I returned to what I was doing during their call to the company. After a short time, the lead technician came and informed me of what was required. I asked if it was going to be another 6 months before this was resolved. He stated the manager would call me in a day or two to discuss what had happened and what the company was going to do to correct this issue. The next week after I did not receive a call, I called Door Galore and spoke to someone who could not tell me anything and finally offered up “We do the best we can.” It’s now 7 Feb 2022 and I’m out $2399.00 and no one from the company has called.
