A recent order I made took around two hours to arrive and while I wish it had come sooner, I didn’t complain, because I know it can get very busy. However, soon after I was warned by someone I knew who works there that I’d be put on a list for not tipping. I completely understand grabbing orders with tips first, because everyone needs the extra money and tipping customers getting their orders faster obviously makes sense, but that’s not how they made it sound. They made it sound like my order would just be left there until someone would maybe decide to grab it, meaning it could be hours of my food just being left out until someone just decides to be generous enough to bring it. I was basically being told if I wanted the food I paid for I’d have to pay extra. That’s extortion. I work in a place that serves food, as does my mom, as do many other people I know, and no one thinks that’s fair. My mom has even worked at a Domino’s and says they don’t have lists for stuff like this, meaning it’s new, it’s made up, or it’s something the workers are doing themselves. Either way it’s extortion. I make $300-400 dollars every 2 weeks and it pretty much all goes to getting Domino’s for me and my girlfriend, because I have issues with eating properly and I also want to make her happy. I don’t really have the money to be tipping, I’m completely broke before I get my next paycheck. Evaluate your staff and make sure they don’t do this stuff to me or others. Let me get my food without being forced to tip.
