My Husband Kevin and I were scheduled to fly out of Escanaba, Mi airport on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 4:40 pm. We received a call stating the flight was cancelled and we were now flying out later in the evening. We drove the 60 miles to the airport and then found out we would miss our connecting flight in MSP. There would be no other flights out of MSP that night to Las Vegas. The terminal employee was very helpful and helped us book another flight for the next day. She said if we had to get a motel room, get gas, and eat, that there could be compensation. We contacted our motel in Las Vegas, and because we wouldn’t be there to check in on the 24th of January, the only way to hold our 2-week reservation would be to pay the full rate for the room for one night, even though we would not be there until the next day. The cost of that one night was $145.71. We also drove 120 miles to and from the airport for the missed flight. There was also a meal in Escanaba because of the missed flight. The amount for that is $39.15
