Here you have it, folks, meet Colin Pengelly of Edmonton, AB. He is known in the Edmonton area and Vancouver area as a fraudster who does not pay his employees. There are many people in the Edmonton area he has stolen free work hours from over the years while he’s tried to start his many construction business ventures, ALL have failed. De This man took a contract under a homebuilder in Edmonton, Griesbach to be specific. He hired 5 people, including me, to construct and frame a large home. Once we got to the roof and corrected all deficiencies, the homebuilder wrote him a cheque and he was supposed to pay all of us but he decided to do the run around he’s FAMOUS for. After our 5 man crew decided to get together and decide on what actions to take, we decided to visit him at home to which he was nowhere to be found. I was owed 245 hours to which I was not paid, eventually, he agreed to write cheques for half of our waged hours, to which we agreed. Our whole crew was given cheques, we cash them on a Friday only to find out the following Tuesday that he wrote bad cheques. I eventually filed a claim with Labour Standards and they did make a judgement in my favour, of course, I did not receive my monies owed, I did not expect to. I just want to make this public knowledge for anyone who decides to work for him, that they do their due diligence and know what kind of employer he is. Trust me, he will work you 12 hours a day, 6 days a week and won’t pay you, then give you the runaround. You’re welcome Edmonton/Vancouver.
