I purchased a vehicle from Carvana not even one week ago. It was a 2018 Chevrolet Sonic. I did not anticipate having any problems with it. I thought it would be my dream car. Yesterday, it was rainy and cold and it was only then that I noticed the heater in the car didn’t work. I live in Colorado, so I definitely need a heater. I was going to return it tomorrow for this reason. However, I had plans today to visit a friend in Strasburg, which is about an hour and a half drive from where I live. I didn’t think the car would have any problems, as it had been running okay up until this time. As I was driving it to Strasburg, the oil light came on at first saying it needed an oil change. I thought that was odd, since I just purchased the car and I figured they should have changed the oil before selling it to me. They claim to have great inspections, apparently not. Next, the check engine light came on, and the screen was saying it was overheating. Then, the car said it was losing power and wouldn’t accelerate properly anymore. All of this came out of nowhere. I was scared and pulled into a McDonald’s to call Carvana. They basically said they could have the car towed, but I was responsible for getting my own ride back home. So then, I tried again to drive it because I need to get home! It kept having the same problem, and it was getting worse. I pulled into the nearest gas station. I am with my 8-year-old son, and we are currently stranded at a gas station waiting for my friend to pick us up about 80 miles from home. Carvana did nothing to ensure we got home safely, just were fine leaving us here stranded. They said take an Uber back. It would cost $150 to get an Uber back from here. I am beyond disappointed and frustrated. I will never purchase a car from Carvana ever again. Give me my money back ASAP and some sort of compensation for this terrible experience.
