Tell us about your problem: In January 2020, I received my first email from Capterra providing a $10 gift card for my first [software] review for their database. I completed this review and received the $10 gift card within 2 months. During these 2 months I verified my identity and email address. In April 2020, I received an email from Capterra providing a $5 gift card per review up to 10 reviews. I submitted 10 reviews on April 11, followed up on approximately May 7, and Capterra responded that they are ‘unable to validate your [my] identity’. I already validated my identity on my first review. On June 17, I received an email from Capterra providing a $20 offer for a review on a add-in titled. June 17 I submitted a review for. On June 28 I received an email stating the ‘QA team is having trouble verifying your [my] identity’. In October 2020, I received an email from Capterra providing a $5 offer for a review of . I submitted a review a couple days later. I received another email stating the ‘QA team is having trouble verifying your [my] identity’. I confirmed my identity between January and March 2020 for my first review, which I received successfully received the offer. My later reviews between April and October 2020 all claim to have failed for having trouble verifying my identity, which I followed through on their website by providing /Social Media information even after verifying successfully earlier in the year. I receive no follow-up on why my identity check or reviews fail. I’ve asked ‘How can I further validate to have the reviews published?’ with no response from Capterra. In my opinion, this is a deceptive and fraudulent practice.
