Capital One — Bad for business

I called today wanting to make a payment on my wifes credit card so there wouldnt be a late fee or late charge. I was told because I didnt have the full 16 digit account number I could not make a payment. Yet I could supply the address, phone number, social security number, date of birth, and last 4 of the account but that wasnt good enough. If my wife and the card were present during my phone call, dont you think she would have called? Just another way that Capital One is going the extra mile to gouge people and do whatever they can to make more money at the expense good customers. I have never been late nor has my wife on our credit card payments to Capital One, yet this is how we get treated. Yall suck!!
