When ordering in New Year’s Day, (yes we know it’s busy,)2023. First we were the only car in the drive thru. We ordered an Impossible Whopper, one item. We heard the drive thru attendant yell, I need an Impossible Whopper with Cheese. Our money was taken and we were not issued a receipt. After 20 minutes still no food. We asked for the money back. Okay. We then waited an additional 10 minutes. We honked and the clerk asked him to pull up. Since there were no cars behind us, we said no.after about 5 more minutes.We then honked again and rapped on the window, in which the clerk threw open the window, and in a shrill, loud angry voice 😃proceeds to scream, Sir there are 100 people in the dining room! I can’t open the registrar only a manager can! (which of course is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Way to trust your employees BK. ) Finally after 5 more minutes another clerk came to the window and asked what our order was, quite obviously it was not even entered. Tempers were totally flared. When he finally got his money back, which took yet another few minutes as the manager did not know how to open the register, she was in the phone with BK asking how to open her registrar.Are you kidding me? Finally the money was returned, but she had to ask how much it was as obviously, it wasn’t entered. We paid cash, exact change, 8.23 cents. Now all this time, I had shopped, at Loves, (which incidentally was just as busy )been waited on and finished my big salad and 2 hb eggs. As he drove off he mentioned, since they didn’t give a receipt, the order was yelled back to a cook, and the clerk still took his money, perhaps she had pocketed it. I guess I see why they may not trust their employees. Unless this particular Burger King is very woke, that an employee would literally yell at a customer ( I couldn’t even imagine a less woke culture than Cartersville Ga. 😃) my hubby left hangry after an already long drive from middle Florida. Sadly disappointed as I have not heard employees at Burger King in Lexington, Ky ever speak so rudely or provide such poor customer service. I’m sure no one will be called out or reprimanded or docked pay for the most miserable fast food experience I have ever received. Would add a pic of the receipt, but don’t have one. You can not.😃 There’s no receipt. I guess just ask BK in Cartersville, Ga to get it together. Don’t panic, and take care of things one at a time, instead of getting all frazzled. Because believe me, we left there frazzled ourselves.
