meet Brigitte Anne Bristow. Cheater, user, pathological liar and manipulator. When we started dating, she was working as a bartender at Drugstore Cowboy, a coffee bar in Deep Ellum. She was barely making it and was literally about to become homeless. Almost a year and a half (with $40k+ invested to rebuilding her life, a Camaro plus an abortion) later, I catch her lying to me about being at work when she actually wasn’t. She also accidentally sent me a text that was intended for a guy named Cliff that she clumsily tried to walk back; frantic late night phone calls and all (see screenshot and notice the timestamps). When confronted about it all, she calls it quits saying that it’s best for her mental health and that there was no infidelity. She simply wasn’t ready for a relationship, that’s all! WTF?! So she breaks up with me but insists on continuing to live in an apartment in Arlington that I had gotten for her, until she could “heal and figure things out”. It was in my name, as she couldn’t qualify for one on her own. I reluctantly agreed to let her stay. However, I still had serious trepidations and wanted to scope things out for myself. So one random day, I drop by to check on my place while she was at work and guess what? She’s got Cliff (last name unknown), the same guy from the accidental text message, living with her.
