Bait & switch. I ordered 5 small manga books for my daughter, and hardcover book for myself, ensuring the total gave me free shipping. I then receive an email from Alibris saying my hardcover book is not available. It sure was when I checked out! They blamed it on a mistake by an independent supplier, and suggested I select a replacement. I looked, found a copy for the EXACT same price of $33.64, but now shipping on that book is $2 more. Fishy, right? So we email back & forth for about a week to clarify that I’d have to split the orders. The 4 manga ship free, but my hardcover counts as a new order, below their free shipping of orders over $39. Their emails were courteous, and not slow in replying, so I decided to give them a chance. They wanted to keep my business, but didn’t offer free shipping until I threatened to blast them on here and social media. They did refund my $ for my book, and finally offered to reimburse me for shipping on a new order, if I pay it up front. Fine, fair enough. I look for the book and it’s gone. There were six copies before I emailed them that morning, now zero. I checked eBay and they have them there. I bought the book elsewhere for more money, on principle. Do NOT deal with this sham of a company!
