We paid $30.00 each for 2 bags ($60 total) to check in luggage from Seattle to Austin on 1111. Luggage did not arrive until the following morning at 8 am. We had to buy toiletries for about $55 as we had none. They were all in the checked bag. Alaska will not refund us this fee. They wanted to give us mileage – which the person issuing it said they expired in 1 year. The value of the miles was approximately $40. $20.00 less than what they charged us to put our bags on the same flight we were on. When they try to assist me they say they cannot reimburse the $60.00 and to call another number. I can’t understand what the confusion is – all I’m asking for is the refund for the bags that were not delivered as promised. I’m not asking for a refund for the toiletries I had to purchase, or even miles. I just want my money back. If you give me miles – you are assuming I’m going to fly Alaska again. After all this effort why would I choose to fly Alaska again when you cannot produce what I paid you to produce – luggage. Refund my 2 bag fees – $30.00 x 2 $60.00
