A friend referred me to this specific Tires Unlimited. Specifically, he told me to ask for mike. I brought in my 2018 GTI for some new tires. I take very good care of my car, and that includes washing the wheels and cleaning them regularly. In fact, this very morning (the day of the tire appointment), I washed my car in the driveway. Best part is, I actually took a couple of before pictures! So fast forward… they finish with my car and I pay and walk outside. I walk around and immediately my rear passenger wheels grabs my eye. I reach down thinking maybe it’s just marks from a machine or chemical or whatever…. No. They are deep cuts into the metal of my wheel. I walk inside and ask mike to come look at my car with me. He walks out, looks at it, and says, “Oh our machine doesn’t even touch that part of the wheel. It’s not possible. You probably scuffed it and didn’t realize it before.” I said, “I literally washed my car this morning, that includes every wheel. It was not there.” mike says, “I can show you our machine and how it works, it wouldn’t do that.” So at this point, I knew the conversation was going nowhere, this guy is basically calling me a liar. I am extremely agitated, because I really do make an effort to take care of cars. The entire car pictures are the before pics, so you may have to zoom in. But clear as day you can see those scratches are not present. That is a $400+ OEM wheel that has now been ruined. If I sell the car, the buyer will clearly see those scratches. I would like a substantial billing adjustment, or a partial refund.
