Days Inn — Unsafe Hotel Stay

The ownermanager is Tim Mahmud – 501-664-7000 daysinn47745@gmail.com. I had to come to Arkansas for a Memorial Service and on 11323, I checked in at the Days Inn (by Wyndham) at 6:16 pm and was given room 127. Three lamps in the room were not operable and I noticed the room did not have an iron. I proceeded to use the phone inside the room to call the front desk, but discovered it did not work, as there was wiring exposed from the wall to the floor. The chair to the desk was broken, and the light switch on the right side of the bed, turned off every 5 seconds with me manually having to push the button to turn it on, as it was the only working light where the bed was located. The lamp by the television did not turn on, and the lamp near the closet did not work. The mirror closest to the front door was dirty. The curtains were torn, and the shades had holes in them. I called the front desk from my cellphone to register my safety concerns and the status of the room. The attendant said he can put me in another room, and I drove to the lobby to exchange keys, and pick-up an iron and headed to room 147, which was in the back of the building. Inside the room, I was greeted with the same filth. The curtains and shades were torn with holes in them. All six of the drawers were off tracks and inverted, and the television was stuck on one channel. Dead bugs were in the bathroom. The lack of care for the rooms and my safety were in jeopardy, and I started calling other hotels to see if they had rooms because I needed to feel safe where I was at. It is my belief that not only is Days Inn Little Rock, AR is responsible for the cleanliness of their rooms, but guests should feel they are safe. I also fault Orbitz for allowing Days Inn Little Rock, AR to be added to their website as a place to stay, because it is obviously not. I found a much better hotel, LaQuinta (also by Wyndham), located at 9 Crossings Ct. Little Rock AR 72205, and the night desk representative Eric, knew exactly how to welcome a guest and ensure they were comfortable. I am asking that I receive a full refund from Days Inn because of the lack of care they have for their rooms and the inconvenience it caused me to have wasted my time coming there. I also recommend that representatives from Wyndham and Orbit, send representatives of different races anonymously at different times to stay one night at this hotel and see for yourself that it should not be listed on Orbitz website. Between Wyndham and Orbitz, they should demand that this Days Inn location reimburse a full refund to my credit card.
