I was selected as a raffle winner by lacesole for 2 pairs of shoes. I received the request to pay for the shoes with estimated delivery. Prior to buying because I had never used Google pay, I called in to make sure the money was safe to send. Google pay assured me it was ok to send and they offer a dispute process if any issues. No one explained to me in reality you have 0 protection using google pay. I was scammed. Never got the shoes. Filed a dispute with google pay. They closed it with no solution. Customer service was a joke. I was then told I could take it up with my bank. My bank said there is nothing they can do because google pay is the 3rd party. I had more proof since his store website now says he’s known for fraud. Google now has a huge red flag when accessing his store. I saved messages, emails, submitted a second time because google pay said I could appeal. “You already tried for this same transaction case will be closed.” 0 protection of protocol for checking for fraud.
