I purchased a brand new 2018 Suntracker Pontoon Fishing Barge 22 at the end of March 2018. With that purchase, I also purchased the mooring cover for $1,005. Within 2 weeks of having the cover, the seams were coming apart and the tabs that hold the cover on the boat were coming out of the seams. I called Bass Pro many, many times and I was told each time that there was nothing that they could do. I wanted to return the cover and get a refund because it was very expensive and obviously defective. When I purchased the boat, it was explained to me that this was a new type of cover that was manufactured. I was very aggravated that Bass Pro would not help me when I had just made a $40,000 purchase from them. I ended up purchasing a cover from somewhere else because obviously I could not use the one purchased from Bass Pro since it was already coming apart. Several months after getting nowhere with Bass Pro, I contacted Suntracker directly. Suntracker then informed me to contact Dowco since they are the maker of the boat cover. Dowco informed me to take pictures and send them to their warranty department. I expressed to them that I wanted a refund and to return this cover. They arranged for UPS to pick up the cover. Within a few days, they emailed me and told me they sewed the cover back where the stitching was coming apart. I AGAIN expressed that this whole time, I have been trying to return the cover and get a refund due to it being junk and I have already had to purchase another cover since theirs failed. They then informed me that only Bass Pro could make that decision and that my complaint was with Management at Bass Pro and I would be hearing from them by last Tuesday, October 30th. I never heard from Management at Bass Pro and have since sent 3 emails and now I am being ignored. The cover is still with Dowco and nobody will respond to me regarding the refund. This has been going on since the second week in April and it is now November. This is such bad customer service and bad business.
