I purchased one of their computers that they advertise. It does not allow you to go online or do anything else other than homeschool on their site. I did this for my son who is doing Powerhomeschool.org. This is part of purchase date was on Jan.6th for $578. We didn’t get it in the mail for at least 2 more weeks. The computer had problems from the moment we received it. It suddenly freezes or crashes while my son is doing his school work. He just tried to deal with the problem and didn’t tell me right away. I called powerhomeschool.org number and told them what had happened. By the time I got someone to help, they said I could send it in for repairs (March 5th). I told them I would rather have my money back because it is obviously a lemon. The woman refused and made me pay shipping to send it in for repairs. They kept the computer for a month. When they sent it back it was still not fixed. They claimed that they couldn’t replicate the problem. The woman in tech support accused my son of lying about the problem to get out of doing school work. I sat with him and watched the computer malfunctions. I have been calling and leaving messages for them over and over and over and no one would call me back! Finally their tech support told me that this thing only had a 30 day warranty, which I didn’t see in any of the paperwork. Who sales a crappy computer like this for this much money and then tells you that you’re on your own after 30 days. They don’t even offer an extended warranty. This is a rip off! I spoke to someone that SAID they were a supervisor and he just played ring around the rosy with me. My son has been unable to do schoolwork properly for 4 months now! These people do not care about education. This is apparently strictly to scam people and make money. I even asked if they would let me send this in and exchange it for a different computer. They refused. I told them there is no wear and tear on this thing because we couldn’t use it.
